Stone Music Festival back in 2011

A packed High Street for a free Stone Music Festival concert in 2008

It’s fantastic news that, after taking a break this year, Stone Music Festival will definitely be back in 2011.

The 2008 and 2009 festivals attracted thousands of people to free concerts on the High Street and at venues around the town. Next year’s festival will take place from 23rd to 30th May and organisers are busy securing the funding to stage such a big event.

For a minimum donation of £10, you can become a Friend of Stone Music Festival and receive a regular newsletter, festival goodies and priority seating at the big High Street gigs next year. Forms are available from Granvilles and The Crown & Anchor on Station Road and The Outdoor Shop on Radford Street. You can also get a form by post from Phil Barber, Stone Music Festival Treasurer, 24 Radford Street, Stone ST15 8DA. Alternatively, email info@stonemusicfestival.com

Mayor Rob Kenney becomes a friend of the festival

Organisers hit the High Street during July’s Stone Street Party to promote the 2011 festival and to start signing people up. Mayor Rob Kenney was one of the first to sign on the dotted line!

Have a look at the Stone Music Festival website here, where you can sign up to get involved, either as a performer or volunteer. The festival is also on Facebook here
