Social media surgery at the Royal Exchange

Chris and Dave Handley from Stone Lions with Phil Oakley at the first Stone social media surgery

A Little Bit of Stone has organised Stone’s second social media surgery, which will be held at the Royal Exchange pub in Radford Street on Monday 16th May between 7pm and 9pm.

Social media surgeries are informal gatherings of people who want to learn how to use the web and social media tools to communicate.

Blogs, video, photo sharing, Facebook, Twitter, Linked In – they can all be covered.

The meetings are deliberately relaxed (hence the pub setting) and the idea is that advisors, or surgeons, help people from voluntary and community groups, as well as start-up businesses, to use these powerful tools effectively.

There are no boring speeches or jargon. Just lots of practical help to get you on your way.

The first social media surgery in Stone was held last November and they will now be held regularly at the Royal Exchange, with partner events also taking place in Stafford and Stoke (in Titanic pubs as well!!).

Hi Phil – thanks for signing up! I’ll make sure that you’re not photographed on 16th May. If you are, I’ll pixellate out your face 😉
