Highest award in GirlGuiding for local girls

Catherine Sexton, Emily Pontin and Molly Slann

Three local girls were presented with their Baden-Powell challenge awards (the highest award in Guides) by GirlGuiding Staffordshire’s County Commissioner Maureen Recine at the Stone Outward Division AGM on Monday 17th November.

Catherine Sexton, Emily Pontin and Molly Slann completed the award whilst members of 1st Aston and Little Stoke Guides and all three are continuing their Guiding with the Rangers section and as Young Leaders.

As Guides, the girls had to complete 10 challenges and a residential event, which involved a novel Monopoly game around Stafford.  They all displayed excellent teamwork, organisational and communication skills and thoroughly deserve their awards.
