The Inn Ringers

A bell ringing team set up in Stone in 1977 are staging a concert in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance at Meir Heath Village Hall on Saturday 16th May at 2.30pm.

The Inn Ringers’ musical director Paul Mellor said: “We always use our annual spring concert as an opportunity to raise money for a local charity and we are delighted to be doing this year’s concert for such a great cause. Our past fundraising concerts have been very successful and I hope people will support us again to make this event our best ever.”

The team, which used to be called Stone Handbell Ringers,  will be joined by special guests Musica, performing songs from stage and screen. Tickets are £6, including refreshments (coffee and cakes) available from secretary Rowena Dawson on 01782 392621 or 07816 545713.

The Inn Ringers  have performed in many prestigious venues including the Barbican Centre in London. They have recorded two albums and made numerous appearances on TV and local radio. In 2013 they performed on James May’s Man Lab on BBC2.

Practice sessions are every Monday at 7.30pm, in St Luke’s Church Hall, Tittensor. New recruits and visitors are always welcome. Visit the team’s website for more information: www.theinnringers.co.uk
