Stone Youth Cafe relaunches with free BBQ and disco

Stone Youth Cafe

Stone Community Hub’s Youth Café relaunches tonight (Tuesday 15th September) and will now be open every Tuesday evening for young people in Years 7 and 8.

The first Youth Cafe of the new school term is at the Frank Jordan Centre in Lichfield Street, with a free barbecue and disco. There will be a new programme of events on Tuesday evenings which will include a range of activities such as arts and crafts, puppet making, music workshops, sporting activities, special events and more.

The café will be open every Tuesday from 6.15pm to 9pm, with membership costing just £1 for the whole term.

Stone Community Hub has recently been successful in gaining funding to train young leaders to work with the town’s children and young people at the Hub’s youth cafe.

If you are aged between 16 and 25 and able to give two or three hours a week of your time, then the team at Stone Community Hub would love to hear from you. Perhaps you are looking to give something back to the community, gain valuable work experience or enhance your CV/UCAS application – get in touch with them. The opportunity will include full training, including safeguarding procedures and a current DBS check.

If you are interested, drop into Stone Community Hub, which is based at the Frank Jordan Centre in Lichfield Street, or call Ann-Marie on 07891 985478 or Chris on 07876 781663.
