Donation boost for Age Concern

Age Concern Stone and District need all the help they can get to continue serving older people in and around Stone.

Treasurer Sylvia Burdon recently accepted a cheque for £400 from Chairman of Stone Festival Committee Neil Gater.
Age Concern Stone and District is a small local charity based in the Council Building on Station Road, and has been offering support to older residents in the area for over 20 years.
They rely solely on grants and donations to provide services such as befriending, form-filling, lunch clubs and a hospital transport service, and receive no financial support from either the national body Age UK or the High Street charity shops. This cheque donation will go a long way to helping them maintain these services.
If anyone would like to make a donation to the charity they can pop in to the office on weekdays between 9.30 and 12.30.
