Stephanie has been a member of Bizmums for 4 years and has gained funding from the Bizfund to access further training to directly impact the lives of the children she cares for.
Bizmums is a social enterprise who offer face to face and on-line networking for mums in business. They run their meetings in child friendly locations allowing females and mums to network with like minded people who have children. The Stone meeting takes place at Come into Play on the third Thursday of each month.
Each quarter Bizmums releases a Bizfund. Allowing members to apply for funding to enhance, grow and develop their businesses, it’s throught this fund that Stephanie applied to receive funding to go toward funding further training.
“I am so overwhelmed that I have been granted this funding, I never expected it. The funding will be going towards two courses that will have a direct positive impact on the children that I care for. The government are making cuts left right and centre, but still require childminders to have certain qualifications and training, it’s hard to meet all the cost. This will release a financial strain on the business as well as further supporting the range on children accessing my childminding”
Steph is a childminder based in Stone offering her childminding with a difference, allowing families of shift workers and those needing flexible childcare to access it. As well as offering wrap around care from Manor Hill first school and Walton priory, Steph’s services also include overnights and weekend services too.
“I have accessed Bizmums for many years and have made some great connections and friends, it really has helped me develop individually as person and as a business. I have never received such a warm welcome and support from other networking providers. As a single mum the membership group not only helps me on a business level but also 2nd home of support.”
“The last couple of years I have seen my business grow, highlighted by the short listing for a couple of awards. This year I’m hoping for more great news and to provide further support to the children within my care whilst creating lasting memories for them”
