Aston Marina’s new ‘No. 26’ bar and restaurant reveals new menu

Season DishesAston Marina has released the menu for its vibrant new bar and dining venue, No.26. Set to open to the public toward the end of May, bookings are now being taken for diners to enjoy great food in a relaxed environment that makes the most of the waterside setting

The new menu will see the marina continue in the tradition of its popular Bistro restaurant; using the finest locally sourced produce wherever possible. Dishes are designed to reflect seasonal produce and breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served daily.

The breakfast menu offers something for all appetites; from traditional, full English breakfasts to lighter options such as Eggs Benedict and omelettes. Local delicacy the Staffordshire Oatcake also makes an appearance as an option on the cooked breakfast and a classic Continental Breakfast is also an option, with delicious Granola served with natural Greek yoghurt and honey also on offer.

Lunch service will offer diners the choice of ordering from the full menu or enjoy something lighter from the light bites and salads menu. A great range of sandwiches and wraps with fillings ranging from classic combinations such as Honey Roast Ham, English Watercress & Dijon Mustard Mayonnaise to more exotic flavours such as the Barbeque Pulled Pork Tortilla Wrap with Sweetcorn Relish cater for all tastes.

Andy PickstockWhen it comes to the main menu, Chef Andy Pickstock and his team have retained some of the Bistro’s most popular dishes – such as its award-winning 28 Day Matured Staffordshire Steak & Ale Pie and Staffordshire steaks from the grill – as well as developing some new fresh, seasonal dishes. Diners will also be able to opt for a pizza cooked in the kitchen’s new wood fired pizza over for that authentic Italian flavour. The dessert menu included plenty to satisfy a sweet tooth as well as a selection of some of the world’s finest cheeses for those who prefer something savoury.

With the bar now open to non-diners, a selection of bar snacks including Woodhall’s British Cured Spicy Cumberland Salami & Smoked Pancetta and Kalamata Olives, House Spiced Nuts & Pipers Crisps are available to enjoy alongside the extensive selection of wines, cocktails and beers on offer and coffee, tea and cake will be available all day.
