An exciting new Performing Arts degree course hunting for talented regional young actors & performers is coming to Stone.
Talented young actors, singers and dancers from across the region are being given the chance to audition on Sunday, 4th June. The auditions for the new course at the Brighton Institute for Contemporary Theatre Training (BRICTT) will take place at Rooftop Studios in Stone.
In addition to validated undergraduate three-year degree courses which, costing £9,000 per year for UK students, are eligible for student loans funding of up to £6,125.00 per year plus subsistence; a number of Bursary spaces are also available. This affordability is core to the ethos of the course, set to launch in September 2017.
The Brighton Institute for Contemporary Theatre Training, powered by BIMM, will be offering Brighton’s only BA (Hons) course in Acting and Performance and will open its doors to the first cohort of students in September 2017.
BRICTT founder, Mia Bird, explains:
“Myself and a group of industry professionals from the world of theatre, TV and film have come together to address the current crisis in accessible, affordable performing arts training and the impact this is having on our industry today.
“Our industry is currently feeling a huge void of regional and working class actors. We aim to fill our stages and screens with ALL the fantastic talent this country has to offer, not just those that can afford to train. As my home county, Staffordshire seemed a great place to start our search in the Midlands, and we’re delighted that my sister, Laura Keeling, will host the auditions at her performing arts studio in Stone.”
Auditions for the new BA (Hons) course in Acting and Performance will take place on Sunday 4th June at Stone’s Rooftop Studios. For more details on the process and to register, visit http://www.brictt.co.uk/auditions/
