Manor Hill’s New Head’s First Year

Manor Hill First School has undergone some exciting changes this year and pupils are ‘Inspired to learn, learning for life’, in it’s first academic year with Mrs Jess Roden as Headteacher.

Manor Hill’s four core values, Collaboration, Creativity, Exploration and Resilience are at the heart of their teaching, and the children have many opportunities to demonstrate their love of learning in engaging and creative ways. The school environment has been developed to ensure that learning spaces are stimulating and help children to focus and achieve. Pupils benefit from the expansive sports, dining and outdoor spaces, making the school a great place to be.

Mrs Roden said, ‘It’s been a wonderful first year for me at Manor Hill and I am privileged to be able to work within a supportive community in the beautiful town of Stone. At Manor Hill we are prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that pupils have the best possible experience of learning. We know that to develop a love of learning that stays with them, pupils need an exciting, creative and even exhilarating curriculum. This is why we are committed to providing something a little different that achieves great results. I am incredibly proud of the whole school community for their achievements this year and am confident that the school will continue go from strength to strength.’

Within the Creative Curriculum, introduced in September, the school has facilitated memorable experiences to launch each exciting project. Over fifteen new trips and experiences have been enjoyed across the school and pupils have responded enthusiastically to the curriculum, producing excellent work in a range of styles.

From September 2017 Manor Hill will proudly offer up to 30 hours at the redeveloped on-site Nursery. Pupils will become integrated into the school, sharing a uniform and curriculum to ensure seamless transition into the Reception Class.

There are a series of Open Days planned for the Autumn Term and you can find the dates and keep up to date with events and developments on the school’s new website www.manorhillfirst.co.uk.
