Newly launched Stone Radio station has been helped in it’s hour of need by local business Planned Office Interiors.
The fledgling radio station needed a custom-built mixing desk, tables and chairs at their Grade II listed headquarters, so the Stone based interiors specialist, who provide all aspects of office refurbishment, stepped up to help.
Neil Rowley, business manager of office furniture at Planned Office Interiors, said:
“It proved quite tricky to source a desk which we could custom build to fit the radio mixing desk the station needed, so we sent two of our joiners down to make sure everything fitted perfectly. We were also able to help source some desks and chairs they needed to get up and running in time for their launch event. As a business we’re celebrating our 40th anniversary, and supporting Stone Radio is just one of several local community projects we’re donating our time to help during our special year.”
Cliff Goodwin, station director of Stone Radio, said:
“Neil and the team at Planned Office Interiors have been great at helping us to set up our studio. When you are trying to pull a voluntary project together and want it to look professional with no budget it can be tall order, but Neil and his team helped us achieve this with a bit of nifty recycling and many man hours rebuilding the reclaimed desks to fit our studio equipment.
The whole idea of Stone Radio is to promote Stone the town, the businesses and the people, and thanks to Planned Office Interiors help and our other sponsors we’re well on our way to achieving this.”
Planned Office Interiors has also pledged to support The Douglas Macmillan Hospice, The Donna Louise Trust Children’s Hospice, The Realise charity based in Newcastle, Stone Town FC, lifesaving defibrillator charity AED Donate based in Stone and Newcastle Rugby Club.
