Sandon Hall’s “Music Under the Stars” Class Acts

Sandon Hall’s glorious gardens will play host to two evenings of exquisite ‘Music under the Stars’, headed by guitar genius Gordon Giltrap.

Friday 8th and Saturday 9th September, sees the UK’s longest running musical concert tour, Beyond the Barricade, headlining on Friday evening with recreations of amazingly authentic original West End and Broadway musical hit songs, with Saturday evening seeing two more highly regarded acts take centre stage.

Widely regarded as one of the best acoustic guitar players in the world, Gordon Giltrap will showcase genres including classical, soaring prog rock and folk guitar; followed by the hugely talented three-part harmony group Access All Arias, who will present a classical repertoire with trademark humour and personality.

Picnics are welcome on both days, and with other musical guests performing over the two nights promises wonderful evening of music and fun.

Cheryl Millward, General Manager at Sandon Hall says: “I was lucky enough to watch Beyond the Barricade from the audience at Sandon last year and it was a truly wonderful evening. There was a great atmosphere, and for this reason we decided to extend the event to two evenings and bring in two more fantastic acts on the Saturday evening. Sandon Hall was designed for entertaining on a grand scale, and the gardens offer the perfect backdrop for this kind of event.”

Beyond the Barricade:
Recreating original West End/Broadway musical hit songs with amazing authenticity, this cast of past principal performers from Les Miserables present a blockbusting two hour show and is now established as the nation’s favourite musical theatre concert.

Gordon Giltrap:
Over the past forty years, Gordon Giltrap has graced the music business with his dedication to his craft and his affection for his audience. As one of the UK’s most respected guitarists, he has consistently proved the adage that respect cannot be bought. It must be earned.

Access All Arias:
Access All Arias are Sarah Ryan, Helen Hobson and Sarah Eyden. They are a three part harmony group.They sing a classical repertoire with humour and personality! All three ladies have an impressive background. Two have starred in leading roles in the West End (Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia) and toured internationally while the third was a member of the world famous Swingle Singers and performed in concert halls and theatres around the world.

Tickets, priced from £25, are now available to buy via alongside the option to buy Gazebo pitches. Licenced bars will operate on site and visitors are welcome to bring along their own picnics to enjoy during the course of the evening.
