Passenger numbers soar 152 per cent

There has been a staggering 152 per cent rise in the number of passenger journeys from Stone railway station since trains started to call there again in December 2008. Figures from the Office of Rail Regulation reveal 76,346 outbound passenger journeys from the station in 2010/11, compared to 48,054 in 2009/10 and 12,018 in 2008/9....
