Save the Date for Staffordshire’s Biggest Gastronomic Gathering!

With just 3 months to go until 2017’s Stone Food & Drink Festival food and drink fans are urged to keep the weekend of Friday 6th, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th October clear in their calendar.

Stone will once again host a full week of food and drink related events, with local pubs, restaurants and shops all getting into the festival spirit. From quizzes and themed meals to special offers and evenings of live entertainment, there will be plenty to enjoy; all culminating in the county’s biggest foodie gathering on Westbridge Park from Friday 6th – Sunday 8th October.

The gourmet marquee will hold  over 100 stalls for visitors to browse, while foodies looking to hone their skills during their visit will not be disappointed. On the hour, every hour, top local chefs will be sharing recipes and tips in the demonstration kitchen.

Cookery Masterclasses, bookable online in advance to avoid disappointment, are available for who fancy getting ‘hands on’ with food, while in the Talks and Tastings Tent exhibitors will wax lyrical about products ranging from wine and beer to cheese and butchery demonstrations; with some surprise topics yet to be announced.

Festival Saturday and Sunday will see Professor Panic will put on free circus skills workshops and shows in the Big Top while KiddyCook North Staffs will offer free kids’ cookery classes. A fun yet educational foodie treasure trail will run all weekend, with face painting and craft activities also on offer so there’s plenty to keep the youngsters busy too.

As always, there  is also great live music to enjoy while enjoying a pint from numerous Staffordshire brewers in attendance; whilst an elegant wine, champagne and cocktail bar offers something for everyone. And when it comes to eating over the ‘big weekend’ visitors will be spoilt for choice, with a host of street food stands offering flavours from around the world.
