Stone Revellers Proudly Present “Blue Stockings”

Stone Revellers, the only theatre group to present shows in Stone, are once again back with an interesting, witty and thoroughly entertaining play.

It’s 1898 and the first women have arrived at University. Not that they’re allowed to graduate. This  tells the story of the battle for equality at a time when only men could benefit from education.

Life and especially love, is impossibly difficult for a ‘Blue Stocking’, faced with social and political backlash, the ladies are forced to choose between their education or social acceptance. .

Stone Revellers have gained a reputation for their quality productions. They present 4 each year; a musical, a comedy, a play and a panto make up the annual repertoire. The play is often a real highlight with several NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) nominations in the past few years.

This year’s play will run from Wednesday 13th Sept to Sat 16th Sept 2017 at St Michael’s Hall, Lichfield St, Stone. Curtain up is 7:30pm with the curtain call around 10pm. There will be a fully licensed bar available, and tickets cost £10 (£9 Conc.)

Tickets are available the Home & Colour Centre on Stone High St, Tel: 01785 817307
