Staffordshire Police online hate crime surgery

Residents from Stone are invited, along with those from across Staffordshire, to take part in an online surgery next week

The surgery will allow residents to discuss with Staffordshire Police officers any issues or concerns that they may have regarding hate crime.
The surgery will take place from 7:00 pm onwards on Tuesday 10th April 2018 on social media and at the link
Hate Crime is any crimes that are targeted at a person because of hostility or prejudice towards that person’s disability, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation or transgender identity.
This particular online surgery will focus specifically on hate crime which is targeted at people with a disability – a disability could mean a sensory, physical or mental impairment.
Also taking part are Staffordshire Police colleagues from Disability Solutions.
The hope is to hold further surgeries to discuss other aspects of hate crime over the coming months.
