The gates will be open to the public on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th May 2018.
There’s set to be a real festival feel to proceedings this year, with new additions added to the line-up.
The 2018 programme will include the following new events:
- Punch & Judy
- Circus skills workshops
- Donkey rides
- Garden games
- Maypole dancing.
There will be the usual favourites such as food and craft stalls and kids’ craft activities. There’s face painting, a fun fair and the opportunity to browse the magnificent 50-acre gardens.
The 2018 Spring Fair has something to keep every family member happy!
If history is your thing, then we recommend the tours of the 19th Century house. Sandon Hall remains a private home and rarely open to the public. Tours will be available by advance booking, as will guided tours of the garden with Head Gardener Grant Donner.
There is a packed weekend programme of all-singing, all-dancing entertainment from local artists.
Street food stalls, cream teas and a licensed bar will ensure revellers are well fed and watered. General Manager, Cheryl Millward, says:
“The Spring Fair has become a real red-letter day in the Sandon Hall calendar – it’s a beautiful time of year to see the estate and it’s lovely to see the gardens bustling with crowds. This year we’ve gone for a traditional fair feel which we really feel fits the setting – we’re bringing in a Maypole to mark the May Bank Holiday and there will be a group dancing around it and letting visitors have a go themselves. The aim is to create a really relaxed, garden party feel with lots for the whole family to enjoy.”
House and garden tours are available by advance booking at £7pp and £2pp respectively – took book head to https://sandonhall.co.uk/events/ or call 01889 508004
