Staffordshire stately home Sandon Hall’s competition to win a wedding reception at the popular venue is fast approaching its closing date, but couples planning their wedding day have still got time to enter before the deadline of midday on Friday, 4th May 2018 if they’re quick!
The hall has joined forces with award-winning caterer Vanilla in Allseasons, bar and music specialists The Estate Boys and several other suppliers to offer a comprehensive package worth in excess of £12,000.
The prize will include exclusive use of the hall and gardens on Saturday, 27th April 2019 for a wedding reception party. The catering package will include arrival canapés, three-course wedding breakfast for up to 40 guests and evening sausage and bacon baps for up to 80 guests with first-class service. The drinks package will include an arrival drink, a third of a bottle of wine per guest during the wedding breakfast, Cava or Prosecco for toasts and a paid bar service throughout.
The Estate Boys will also provide a 5-hour DJ set with music tailored to the couple’s favourite genre. The prize package also includes some ‘finishing touches’, including photography by New Road Photography, toasts led by The Staffordshire Toastmaster and venue dressing service courtesy of Vintage Venue Dressing.
Launched during the hall’s Wedding Showcase event on Sunday 8th April, the competition has already generated significant interest – as General Manager at the hall, Cheryl Millward, explains:
“We’ve had a fantastic response to the competition with strong entries coming in and also from new suppliers who are keen to get in on the act and help make the prize even more special. This really is the prize of a lifetime, so couples who want to be in with a chance of winning need to send us the story of their proposal in less than 500 words before midday on Friday 4th May – all entries will then be assessed and a shortlist announced by the Lord Mayor of Stafford at our Spring Fair on Saturday 5th May.”
Couples that make it onto the shortlist will then be invited to the hall for an interview in front of a judging panel that will include representatives from the hall, The Estate Boys and Vanilla in Allseasons. The three whose story most captures the judges’ hearts and imaginations will then go forward to a final public voting process on social media.
