A lucky resident of Stone has won £100 worth of shopping vouchers after giving feedback about plans for new play and leisure facilities
More than 1500 residents took part in the consultation on new play and leisure facilities at Westbridge Park through February and March.
A multi-use games area, skate-park and new play equipment have been earmarked as part of a multi-million-pound leisure offer for the town.
People who completed the consultation survey could choose to enter a draw to win £100 worth of shopping vouchers. More than 600 people were entered into the draw and Jayne Nutton from Aston Lodge was picked randomly by the Mayor of the Borough, Councillor Aidan Godfrey.
Work is already underway on the new leisure centre which will feature a 25-metre, six lane swimming pool, alongside gym and fitness studios.
Residents, schools, community groups and local councillors all participated in a number of consultation activities including online surveys, workshops and drop in sessions.
Concept proposals are now being drawn up based on the consultation – and residents and organisations will have the opportunity to comment on them before plans are put forward.
The results will be available online in May 2018 and we’ll be sure to publish them as soon as they’re available.
