Stone Choral Society celebrates 50th anniversary with local composer

Stone Choral Society are busy rehearsing for their next concert, Carmina Burana, which will include a special piece by local composer Stuart Johnson

Stuart, who has lived in Stone for many years and was once Director of the Staffordshire Music Service, wrote Missa Celebra to mark the 50th anniversary of Stone Choral Society.

Stone Choral Society is pleased to announce that they will perform it for the first time on Saturday, 30th June.

Stuart’s daughter, Harriet, is the Choral Society’s Musical Director and many of the soloists and instrumentalists are also from the area.
