With staff now recruited for the Stone based Marks and Spencer Foodhall plans are on track for launch
Following a successful recruitment program, the various teams for the new M&S Foodhall are now in place and beginning to train and work at stores in the nearby area.
It seems like the new store has taken an age to commission, especially with the length of time taken for the roadworks on Stafford Road.
There have been all sorts of rumours flying around about whether M&S would actually open up in Stone, especially with recent reports on the group’s expansion plans being curtailed. Some of the stranges we’ve heard are that it was built too tall and also that the glass is too reflective!
An M&S spokesperson told A Little Bit of Stone:
“We are still on track with our plan to open the new Stone Foodhall and we are looking forward to joining the community.”
Due to the way that M&S handle their news releases we won’t know until 4 weeks before the official opening day when it’s scheduled to open, we’ll be sure to share the date when we get it.
