Alchemy 13 Tattoo and Barber Co to open on Radford Street

Alchemy 13 tattoosA new business is opening in Stone next month, Alchemy 13 Tattoo and Barber Co

The new shop is the brainchild of Stone husband and wife couple, Mike and Leah Ellerby.

Mike’s been a professional tattoo artist, with eight years experience in the industry and Leah is soon to be a professional Barber, undertaking her training at the prestigious Sid Sottung Academy in Nottingham.

They are currently looking to recruit an experienced barber to join their team, and suitable applicants should contact them on their Alchemy 13 Tattoo & Barber Co Facebook page.
We caught up with Mike to find out more about starting up the business:

“The desire for the business came around when my wife wanted to become a barber and have her own shop.

I was already an established tattoo artists so it made sense for us to combine the two together and bring something totally unique to Stone.”

Leah added:

“We decided on the name “Alchemy 13 Tattoo & Barber Co”. due to Alchemy having the meaning ” A seemingly magical process of transformation, creation, or combination”. We saw this to be quite fitting to the services we offer so it was a perfect match.

“Our aspirations for the shop are to provide a welcoming atmosphere for people to come and relax whilst having a hair cut or shave and to also create some amazing pieces of art that people will be proud to wear for the rest of their lives. We are going to be bringing something totally different to Stone and look forward to a bright future we hope to have here.”

The team hope that their new shop will create a unique experience, something Stone has never seen before, with the combination of tattooing/piercing and traditional barbering all under one roof.

You can pop in for a coffee and a chat and leave after having a complete transformation, whether it’s a new tattoo or a fresh trim.

Follow the Alchemy 13 Tattoo & Barber Co Facebook page to keep up to date with their latest offers, competitions and opening times!

The new shop will be in the former AEDdonate Charity Shop which recently moved onto the High Street.
