B&M store to give Stone Community Hub VIP opening treatment

B&M BargainsOn Friday 9th November the brand new Stone B&M store will be opened at 9am

Staff at the new store were asked to nominate a local charity that they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. The team chose Stone Community Hub who will be taking centre stage to officially unveil the new B&M store, alongside the Mayor, Cllr Kristan Green.

Stone Community Hub aims to improve the lives of local residents by providing support and advice in times of need. They provide services including employment advice, food bank, financial support and much more. We’re pleased to be working with them in 2018 to re-run our A Little Bit of Cheer campaign.

As well as opening the new store, Stone Community Hub will also receive £250 worth of B&M vouchers to go towards the charity.

The store manager, Sharon Leech, said:

“The team from Stone Community Hub really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for the local community, we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.

“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”

He also commented:

Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open next Friday and show customers their brand new B&M.”

The former Co-Op store has undergone an internal and external refurbishment programme and created 40 jobs for local people.

B&M is one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers and customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded products including toys, food & drink, homeware, pet products, and health & beauty and seasonal range.

  1. I really hope B&M does well in Stone, we really need to have our High Street busy again. Equally I hope that M&S does really well here because Stone needs big names to pull people from the outlying estates into the town. I notice there is still a lot of negativity emanating from the Keep Westbridge Park Green brigade towards M&S. Speaking as someone who uses Westbridge Park on a daily basis , and have done for years , I never see any of these people using the green spaces that I enjoy.
