Hunt for missing Kieran in Stone

The police and fire service searched the town and the Trent and Mersey Canal today (Saturday 10th May) for missing Kieran ‘Lally’ McColl.

The 21-year-old was  last seen at around 10pm on Thursday night when he left friends near Stone town centre. He is described as about 5ft 8ins tall, with a pale complexion, stocky/muscular build and with blond shaven hair. He was wearing dark-grey pinstripe trousers, a dark blue jumper and a white striped shirt with a white collar, grey tie, a gold chain necklace and zipped black and white hooded coat.

Police today said they were becoming increasingly concerned as he has epilepsy and needs regular medication and could be at risk of a fit.

We posted on Facebook on Friday night about missing Kieran. Huge thanks to everyone who helped to spread the word – the update was seen by over 40,000 people.

Specialist search police teams supported by the police helicopter, Staffordshire Search and Rescue Team and the fire service searched areas around the town, including the canal, on Saturday. The sound of the helicopter could be heard for much of the day.

If you have any information, please call the police on 101.
