Man arrested after Priory Road incident

A man was arrested on Monday (21st July) following an incident in Priory Road, Stone, which saw a 46-year-old taken to hospital with “puncture wounds”.

A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said this afternoon: “We received a call at around 5.20pm on Monday reporting an injured man. The 46 year-old Stone man was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire with non-life threatening injuries. The cul-de-sac remained closed for three hours while a forensic examination took place. A 35-year-old local man was later arrested on suspicion of assault.”

The spokeswoman added that the victim had suffered “puncture wounds”.
