I’m ultimately responsible for the website, social media accounts, email and technical aspects of ALBOS. I’ve lived in Stone since 2005 and am married with 2 children. By day I run my own IT consultancy business but away from the computer my interests are my family, Hull KR rugby league team and the McLaren F1 team!
… and the rest of the team
I moved to Stone in 2014, having fallen in love with Stone while living previously at Tittensor. I grew up in Penkridge, so it was wonderful to find the sense of community in Stone that I recognised from my childhood. My husband Dave & I will be working together to hopefully make some interesting & fun additions to the already brilliant ALBOS. We are both medically retired, so we value the opportunity to exercise the grey matter! We have a daughter who has just finished her first year at Alleynes and Dave has a grown up son. We’re owned by 3 cats, and also foster kittens for a local cat charity (crazy cat lady alert!). We look forward to becoming more a part of this vibrant community through our work with ALBOS.
Roll of Honor
I founded A Little Bit of Stone in August 2010. I’m a journalist by trade and I wanted to create a trusted and professional news website just for Stone. I moved here in 2002 with my wife Harriet and live at the top end of town with daughter Verity and our two mad cats (eldest daughter Indy has moved into her own place, which makes me feel very old). Away from A Little Bit of Stone, I offer freelance communications services, including PR, copywriting and social media.
Hello! For those of you who don’t already know me, I’m Andy. I love writing, so having contributed a few articles to the site and put my penny worth in on various topics already, was delighted to be asked by Jamie to become a fully fledged member of the ALBOS posse. I grew up in Stone in the ’70s and returned circa ’98. Very much looking forward to sharing news, views and reviews to inform and hopefully amuse! You can often find me out and about at the various music and comedy events in town, so please feel free to say hello if you bump into me!
I’m a guest writer for ALBOS with the series of articles “Uncovering the Hidden Gems of Stone.” I was born and raised in Stone and attended Christ Church Primary school and Alleynes School and I’m generally known as “the Puppet Man” since my entire working life has been associated with puppets in some way. I returned to live in Stone in 2013 (after moving away over 40 years ago) and I’m married with two (grown up) children and two grandchildren.
