Entries are now being invited for the 2016 Sport Stafford Borough Awards Evening.
The event recognises local achievements in sport from individuals, clubs and volunteers in a variety of sports from the borough. The 2016 Awards evening will take place at Staffordshire County Showground on Friday 10th March 2017.
To be eligible for nomination individuals must reside or be a member of a club in the Stafford Borough area and clubs or teams nominated must be Stafford Borough based. Nominations must also be for achievements in the last 12 months (apart from Special Contribution to Sport Award).
This means that local groups such as Stone Dominoes FC, Little Stoke Cricket Club, Stone Wheelers Cycling Club, and of course Stafford & Stone Canoe Club, who recently saw member Joe Clake bring home an Olympic Gold medal, are all eligible to be nominated.
