Staffordshire Police issue warning after a number of vehicle break in reports.

Car crimeSarah Fordham, Police Community Support Officer at the Stone Neighbourhood Policing Team, has issued an alert after a number of recent vehicle break-ins.

The following alert was issued today by the Staffordshire Smart Alert system:

Please be aware that there has been a number of reports regarding vehicles being broken into around the Stone area over the past week. The reports indicate that it is early morning that these incidents take place.

Please ensure your vehicles are locked and secure at all times and that all valuables are removed from the vehicle and safely out of sight from criminals.

We will be carrying out regular patrols in the Stone area but please be vigilant and if you see anyone acting in a suspicious manor, i.e. looking into vehicles or trying car door handles etc. then please report this immediately.
