Members of Stone’s Revellations Choir are busy rehearsing for their Christmas concert in December.
The concert takes place at St Michael’s Hall in Lichfield Street on Saturday 11th December. Tickets will be available from the Home and Colour Centre in the High Street at £5 (which includes a glass of wine) and all funds raised from the concert will go towards repairs and maintenance of the hall.
The Revellations Choir – part of Stone Revellers – meets every Monday night from 7.30pm to 10pm at St Michael’s Hall in Lichfield Street. The choir has been together for about five years and now has about 25 members aged from 16 to 60+. A wide spectrum of music is covered, but especially songs and selections from West End shows.
Why not pop along on a Monday night and find out more? As the choir says: “No auditions – you audition us!”
One member, Pippa Haines, recently joined the choir after moving to Stafford from Worcester and has found the choir welcoming and friendly. She said: “I moved to Stafford at the end of the summer holidays and didn’t know anyone. I was on the look-out for a choir because I used to sing in Worcester. The choir have made me feel welcome and I look forward each week to the Monday night get-togethers.”
