A Little Bit of Stone was born in August 2010.
We’re an online news and community platform for the wonderful canal town of Stone in Staffordshire. Since we launched, we’ve posted over 40 stories on our site every single month and tens of thousands of updates on our thriving social media channels.
We cover Stone town, but also get out to the surrounding villages too when we can, mainly Aston, Oulton, Swynnerton and Yarnfield.
Our aim is to share news and information with local people, to connect everyone in interesting ways and to promote our wonderful town.
In the autumn of 2014, a successful crowdfunding campaign meant we could start to take the site to the next level – including the creation of this new website, which launched in January 2015. Have a look at our business and community supporters who so generously backed us.

The wonderful piece of artwork at the top of this page (and social media profile pic to the left) has been designed for us by Stone artist Emma Joustra. Emma’s prints depict Stone so beautifully.
