Catherine to help build a school in Morocco

For two weeks this summer Catherine Godon, a former pupil at St Dominic’s Priory School and Deputy Head Girl, will be working for a charity called Child Reach International in Morocco.

Recent laws allow all children to have an education. However, there are not enough schools, and so along with around 10 other volunteers she will be building a school room for a local community in the Atlas Mountains, which will also be used as a community centre for family members. She needs to raise £1350 which will contribute to the building materials and supplies the school will need.

Having already raised £605 through selling donuts, selling hand-made jewellery, and doing bag packs at a local supermarket in Nottingham where she is in her final year studying Interior Architecture, Catherine would be very grateful of any contributions from Stone residents.
