Choirs combine for Mozart’s Requiem

The Stone Cantiamo Chamber Choir is combining with the Sheffield Chamber Choir to perform a major choral work in aid of the Stone Bells Appeal on Saturday (18th May).

The choirs will be following last year’s memorable performance of the Vivaldi Gloria with the magnificent and moving Mozart Requiem. The accompaniment will again be provided by the St. Cecilia String Orchestra.

The first half of the programme will feature a variety of choral classics sung a cappella, and finish with the first performance of Stone composer Stuart Johnson’s Four Poems for mixed choir, organ and strings.

The concert is at St. Michael’s Church on Saturday 18th May at 7.30pm. Admission is £10, which includes wine and refreshments at the interval. Tickets are available in advance from Home and Colour on the High Street or on the door.
