Crown Meadow information board is unveiled

A new information board detailing the history and wild flowers of Stone’s Crown Meadow was unveiled tonight – with special guests the Walton 1st Brownies!

The Brownies had raised over £300 towards the cost of the board – which you can find by the canal near to The Star pub – and were personally thanked by Cllr Margaret Goodall, the chair of Stone Town Council’s environment sub-committee.

The board – which was designed by Stone artists Christina and Noel Bennett – was unveiled by town mayor Cllr Jill Piggott and is a real addition to one of Stone’s best beauty spots!
