Your pictures of snowy Stone

Snow drifts on the Aston Lodge estate – by Adam Tunstall

Well, the forecast was spot on and we certainly got our fair share of snow! Thanks to everyone for sharing their pictures today. I can’t tell you how much I love getting your pictures – at any time. So thanks to everyone for sending them, either by email, Twitter or Facebook.

All of Stone’s schools closed over the course of the day. With more snow forecast for the weekend, including Sunday night, you can keep tabs on school closure announcements for Monday HERE.

Stafford Borough Council managed to empty some bins today before collections were suspended. So if your bin wasn’t emptied – like mine – we should leave them out and they’ll be done as soon as it’s safe. You can find out more HERE.

Stone Recycling Centre is likely to be closed on Saturday as Staffordshire County Council shut all 14 of its centres today. A decision will be made on Monday about reopening then. More information HERE.
