Children taking part will receive a free starter pack and on 13th July there will be lots of spooky activities at Stone library, including face painting between 10am and 1pm, and 2pm to 3.30pm (£1.50 full face / 80p for a cheek or hand).

Staffordshire’s Library Chief, County Councillor Mike Lawrence, said: “The Summer Reading Challenge has proved to be incredibly popular with the county’s youngsters over the years, and we’re hoping that a record number will get involved in this year’s “Creepy House” activities. I would urge any parent looking for FREE kids’ entertainment during the long school holidays, to pop along with their children to their local library, see what fun activities are planned and get signed up.”
