Autumn is here and it’s one of the most beautiful times of the year. Stone looks amazing as the bursts of autumnal colour take hold – and it’s a photographer’s dream!
We’re holding a photography competition with an ‘Autumn in Stone’ theme. There are two categories – under-18s and over-18s. And we have prizes…
The winning under-18 will win £25
The winning over-18 will win a two-course lunch for two at Cullens restaurant (any day except Sunday and Monday. All food included – drinks have to be paid for)
EVERYONE can enter this competition!
You don’t have to be a professional photographer or have a state-of-the-art SLR camera. Get snapping with your mobile phone or other device and take part. And we’d love to see lots of entries from young people in the under-18 category.
Be as creative as you like – the photos don’t have to be of autumnal-looking trees. Perhaps you could take photos at the bonfire and firework display, or at the Remembrance Sunday service on 10th November? Or maybe something Halloween-themed? It’s all up to you!
Here are the rules:
1. Photos must be taken in Stone town or surrounding villages (Yarnfield, Aston, Swynnerton, Oulton, Fulford, Downs Banks, Little Stoke, Hilderstone and Moddershall)
2. Photos must be taken between 27th October and Friday 15th November 2013
3. Photos must be emailed to competition@alittlebitofstone.com by 5pm on Friday 15th November – you must include your name, age and address in the email, as well as a short description of the photo
4. At 10am on Saturday 16th November we’ll post all eligible photos in both categories on to our Facebook page – the photo with the most likes in each category by 8pm on Tuesday 19th November will be the winners
5. We’ll announce the winners on Wednesday 20th November and publish the top five photos in each category on the website
6. The winners must be prepared to have their photo taken for an article on this website!
7. Just one photograph can be entered into the competition per photographer
Get snapping! Really looking forward to seeing your photos.
