The annual parade and service at the war memorial in Stone town centre starts at 10.35am, with the parade moving up the High Street to the memorial in Granville Square. Wreaths will be laid at 10.45am, with a two-minute silence and service of Remembrance at 11am.

At the end of the service, the parade will head for St Michael’s Church via High Street and Church Street, led by Stone Town Band. Following a service at the church the parade, this time led by Stone Scout and Guide Band, will assemble and proceed, via the High Street, to Market Square before dismissing at the top of the High Street.

Tuesday 11th November: Stone Town Council is supporting the Royal British Legion national initiative in observing a two-minute silence at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. A short ceremony will be held at the war memorial in Granville Square at 11am on Tuesday 11th November and the traffic will be halted. A bugler will sound the Last Post and Reveille. Members of the public are invited to join the town mayor, Councillor Cathy Collier, and members of ex-service organisations.

I am writing as a representative of the Canal and River Trust and more specifically as a (Stone) Voluntary Lock Keeper. We are a relatively new organisation in Stone and we would very much like to pay our respects by laying a wreath and being part of the Parade on Remembrance Sunday with the many other groups and clubs.
I don’t know who to contact to find out if this is possible.
Can anyone help me out please?
