Wacky Races came to Stone on Wednesday evening with the Stone Soapbox Derby, a brilliant new Stone Festival event for 2016.
Dozens of teams took part in a range of souped-up soapboxes, racing down the High Street in a time trial challenge. But it wasn’t only their time that contributed to their score – the design of their soapbox and their presentation to the crowd also counted.
And there were lots of simply brilliant soapboxes – huge well done to everyone who took part. You can see them all in our video at the top of the page.

Thank you to organiser Grahame Neagus and all the Stone Festival volunteers for a fantastic event.
