Ian is a serving Town Councillor who has lived with his wife in Stonefield for 25 years. He enjoys Stone for its sense of community, parks, green spaces, canal, river and heritage.
He is a company director, local charity trustee, co-chair of his residents association and member of several voluntary organisations. He is also a qualified sports coach who works with young children helping them acquire new skills and build confidence.
Ian played a leading role in developing the Town Centre Strategy and helped formulate the Neighbourhood Plan that will guide future development in the town and protect green spaces. He has chaired the Town Council Estates and Town and Tourism committees and is a supporter of the new Crown Wharf Development. Ian is currently working with residents to explore means of improving traffic flow and resolving parking issues in and around Stonefield.

How will you keep in touch with your constituent’s concerns?
We are highly contactable through phone, email and social media including our website and FB pages. We welcome being approached to listen to residents’ concerns. Serving councillors are active in working with local residents and residents groups.
