In response to the Covid-19 lockdown, Sandon Hall, will be begin a summer of drive in movies at the Staffordshire estate from Friday 3rd July – running 6 days a week.
This summer, Sandon Hall will be hosting “The Great British Drive In”, who have created an experience to entertain, educate and unite. With Covid- 19 restrictions still in place The Great British Drive In will run 6 days a week over the whole summer with a varied programme for all starting from Friday the 3rd of July when they kick off with Grease Sing Along.
The productions will be using the highest quality technology that means that films will be as enjoyable to watch in daylight or at night.
There is a a varied film programme, from classic Hollywood titles such as Casablanca to family favourites like Toy Story. Additionally they are screening international cinema including Bollywood to Polish films and have a variety of film festival winning titles to enjoy.
Who wouldn’t enjoy Downton Abbey on the big screen, viewed in the local, beautiful grounds of Sandon Hall? Keep your eyes peeled for some of the free educational screenings that will be shown over the following weeks as well.
On Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s they will be joined by the Head Chef from The Funicular Immersive Dining Experience and Digbeth Dining Club from Thursday to Sunday to provide delicious food and drink! You are more than welcome to bring your own food and drink and set up an alfresco dining experience outside of your car, just remember to bring a portable radio!
Social distancing measures have been carefully considered and implemented and the team want to ensure a safe experience for all.
