Stone yachtsman Mike Goodwin has joined forces again with his round-Britain co-sailor Roger Colmer, to write a book telling of their incredible voyage in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Mike, an Emeritus Professor from Staffordshire University, and Roger raised nearly thirty thousand pounds for their chosen charity with the venture during 2015 & 2016 on their yacht Blue Star. All author royalties for the book, entitled ‘Blue Star Adventure’ will add to their total for the trust.
World-famous sailor, Tracy Edwards MBE, who has written a foreword for the book describes it as ‘delightful’ and ‘beautifully written’.
The book is available in bookstores nationwide, but Mike is keen for would-be readers to buy the book from him personally as this will enable him to donate the bookstore margin, and thus make a bigger overall donation to charity.
Mike said ‘I would be delighted to hear from would be readers and to post or hand them their copy of Blue Star Adventure, thus generating extra income for the Trust. I can also sign the book for those who would prefer an author signed copy’.
