Perhaps if the town council had publicised the plans for the mega warehouse they could have mobilised the public to put pressure on SBC. How long before they build on the flood plain between Cherryfields and Lichfield Rd ? We need less development and more GP surgeries and schools.

Will the council now bring pressure to bare on the borough to do something about the potholes in and around Stone

May I suggest that only 1 Labour candidate stand in each ward next time then the vote won’t be split.

Please will something be done about the speeding and dangerous driving on Lichfield Road and Newcastle Road. Some one will be seriously injured or killed without intervention. This has been a long standing problem.

As we now have a newly elected town council.
I would like to ask two questions.
The first that successive Mayors & local councillors have refused to answer or reply ‘ When is speeding & dangerous driving going to be addressed along the Lichfield Road?
Secondly ‘Is it the Town Council’s intention to agree to further planning permission for a matching warehouse at Aston roundabout?

Stone Town Council has no powers to give or refuse planning permission. It can only recommend. It is Stafford Borough where planning control rests.

Lichfield Rd, Crown St/Newcastle St – the whole of what should be a vibrant town centre is instead chopped up and confined in order to give free rein to motorists. More lights with pedestrian crossings, more pelican crossings and more traffic calming measures, please (and more public transport too!).

Now to STEXIT (leave Stafford BC!)

    • Chris Grayer

Totally agree Chris. SBC treat our Town with disdain and disrespect. The abominable imposed development on the Business Park totally illustrates this
