Please investigate how the Election Agent and Proposer for the prospective UKIP candidate had advance knowledge of the intentions to defect at the last minute of his mate the prospective REFORM candidate.
Hence the early parachuting in of the UKIP candidate all the way from Scotland.
The beneficiaries of what happened are the Conservative Party and UKIP. Had the defector Tom Wellings not betrayed the trust reposed in him, the Conservative incumbent would certainly have lost his seat. But Steve Hollis must also be held to account.
Questions must be answered or the integrity of the electoral system is called into serious question. There is a reason that there are rules about this kind of third-world goings-on, and the rules have been broken.
