Stone Matters – what are the important issues for YOU?

Stone Matters

We are launching Stone Matters, and we need you to help shape our election coverage in two key areas.

A Little Bit of Stone will be engaging with the election candidates in two key ways:

Candidate Profiles

This is where we send a list of questions to candidates so they can provide broad answers to key questions and some background about themselves.

Election Husting

In 2019, we hosted our very first election husting – A hustings is a meeting where election candidates or parties debate policies and answer questions from the audience.

For 2024, our aim is to livestream but also to have a live audience – we are currently in negotiations with a number of venues across the town and will provide details once they’ve been confirmed.

You can see coverage of our 2019 husting at -> Stone Constituency – General Election Husting Video – Questions and Answers

Stone Matters

Stone Matters aims to be your voice and use your candidate questions in the two key pieces above. While candidates will have their own agendas, we want to include as many local questions as possible.

While the Stone constituency covers a vast geographical area, our primary audience and, therefore, primary focus is the town of Stone.

How to Get Involved

Simply complete the form below, by Tuesday, the 4th of June – this will allow us a few days before the candidate list deadline on Friday, the 7th of June.

We’re asking for age ranges to allow us to analyse how issues affect people across various age ranges.

Your Age Range(Required)
We use this to analyse if certain issues are more important to certain age ranges.
Please put each question on a new line.

Don’t forget, we have a brand new mini-site for the upcoming election – Stones.Vote

Hopefully candidates will be questioned about policies with vigour.
