Stone Community Hub has launched its Christmas foodbank appeal with support from Price and Stubbs Funeral Directors. The campaign invites residents to give something that matters during a busy and often difficult time of year.

The appeal lists a mix of everyday cupboard items and seasonal donations. Tinned goods are always needed, including meat, beans, soups, tuna and curry. Toiletries are also on the wish list, along with laundry detergent and washing up liquid. Packs of pasta, microwaveable rice, cereal and tinned fruit help volunteers put together parcels.
There is also a call for new toys, which are distributed to families using the foodbank in the run up to Christmas. These gifts make a real difference for children who might otherwise miss out.
Residents can drop off donations at two locations in the town. The first is Stone Community Hub at the Frank Jordan Centre on Lichfield Street, a few minutes walk from the High Street. The second is Price and Stubbs Funeral Directors on Mill Street.
The Hub provides year round support and has seen a rise in demand from households dealing with rising food costs and winter pressures. Local appeals like this one help keep shelves stocked through December, when the number of people seeking help typically increases.
Donations can be made during each venue’s normal opening hours. Items will be sorted and given out by volunteers over the coming weeks.
