Celebrate Shakespeare with a selfie on Saturday!

Shakespeare

Staffordshire’s libraries are inviting residents to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death using very 21st century technology.

‘Shakespeare Selfie Day’ takes place on Saturday 23rd April. The county’s libraries want as many people as possible to show their love for our greatest poet, pop in to their local main branch, take a selfie and share it on social media using the hashtag #shakespeare16

Most of the county’s libraries have ready-made speech bubbles available to use and are only too happy to help local Bard buffs join in with the celebrations.

Saturday 23rd April is also World Book Night and activities taking place on the day, across the county, will include Shakespeare readings, family craft events, quizzes, treasure hunts and fun competitions with prizes.
