Crews will be showcasing the service’s hi-tech concept car and a fire ranger vehicle during the annual Staffordshire County Show during half term week.
The VF4 Ford Focus ST concept car has been kitted out with state-of-the-art equipment to simulate the impact of a car crash.
The safety-boosting vehicle aims to reduce the number of young people being involved in road traffic collisions by enabling them to experience the sights and sounds of an accident without actually being involved in a real-life incident.
Community Safety Officers, members of the communications team and volunteers will be talking to people about a range of campaigns including Getting to Know Us Inside Out, Flames Aren’t Games and Push the Button. People can sign up for email Push the Button reminders and subscribers will be entered into a competition to win up to £100 worth of Amazon vouchers.

The concept car really drives home the consequences of dangerous driving and will leave a lasting impression on newly-qualified and more experienced drivers alike.

The teams will also be promoting summer safety and electrical safety and will highlight the risk of overloading plug sockets, adapters or extension leads which can lead to overheating and can cause a fire.
The team will be in attendance at Staffordshire County Showground on both days from 8am-6pm on Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd June.
