Assuming you haven’t nipped to spend a penny or stick the kettle on for a quick cuppa during the ad breaks on TV lately, the eagle-eyed telly viewers amongst you may have spotted a familiar face popping up on your screens at end of part one.
Stone-based actor Charles O’ Neill is appearing in two commercials currently being shown. One is for Barclaycard, to celebrate their 50th anniversary, and the other is for a Derbyshire based company, Autochair.
[box type=”shadow” ]Charles says: “I have lived in Stone for over 20 years. I took up acting in middle age after a heart condition brought to an end to a long career as an Air Traffic Controller, and have now been acting for nearly four years.
“Since then I have appeared in over 30 screen roles as varied as homeless man, serial killer, to the head of MI6, and recently appeared as a judge in BBC daytime soap Doctors. I have also appeared a number of corporate films, voiceover work and commercials, two of which are currently showing on TV, one of which for Barclaycard’s 50th anniversary is also showing at cinemas.
“One of my recent feature films, The Singing Bird Will Come, a modern ghost story, was filmed mainly in and around Stafford and strongly featuring the Soup Kitchen. I have been involved with several films in the last year and have several in the pipeline over the next year including Wuthering Heights, being a Saxon King, a medieval fantasy film, and a role in a TV comedy pilot.”[/box]
