To celebrate 45 years of providing local people with priceless care, free of charge, Dougie Mac is introducing its first Jail or Bail fundraising challenge.
The charity’s anniversary, Wednesday 14th February, will see 8 prominent local business people, including Dougie Mac’s Chief Executive David Webster, being ‘arrested’

The Dougie Mac inmates will be found guilty of a crime (fictional of course), taken into custody and banished to an undisclosed location. They will only be released if they can provide proof of fundraising to the value of £2,000 each (or more!). Inmates can fundraise up to £1,000 before the event with the remaining £1,000 to be raised from the comfort of their cells.
The first of the convicts to join David in jail will be Guy Basnett, Company Director of Target Windows. Target Windows are proud supporters of the Dougie Mac, having engaged in a number of fundraising campaigns previously.
Staying ever-optimistic despite his impending arrest, Guy commented: “Target Windows are really pleased to be able to offer our support to the Dougie Mac Hospice. It is a fantastic charity that provides unrivalled care to so many people throughout Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. Sadly we never know when we might need their help.
“Jail or Bail is a brilliant concept… I just hope that I can raise enough money to secure my release!”
