Stone shoppers inspire multi million pound Morrisons store transformation

morrisonsStone Morrisons store has undergone a multi-million-pound makeover following suggestions put forward by shoppers and the store’s staff.

Morrisons asked shoppers what changes they wanted to the store and they said it had to be simpler to get around with more useful facilities. In response, Morrisons has improved the layout of the store, widening aisles and upgrading departments which focus on fresh foods and convenience.

As well as a new and improved Market Street where lots of fresh food will be made or prepared in the store every day by skilled foodmakers, the store also now has:

Some of the isles are narrower than before , making it more difficult to get around on mobility scooters, wheelchairs and mums with prams. People tend to turn the corners tighter than before making harder than it is for disabled. Also it doesn’t take much before isles are jammed when people are browsing.
